The Helena Dress. A modern dress with a historical twist. The Helena Dress throws a striking silhouette, due to its beautifully gathered smocked sleeves, with delicately pleated edges reminiscent of the Jacobean ruffs of Shakespeare’s time. Featuring a chic plunging V neckline to the front, and an open back, the dress is cut from a luxury stretch crêpe which moulds to the body for a gorgeously flattering and comfortable fit. This piece also has a hidden wrist loop and ribbon ties to hold or tie the train out of the way for dancing. All Rolling In Roses pieces are available in any size.

Helena is a character from Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, who pursues her object of desire through the forest at night.

“Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind;
And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind”
