Accessories - A round up of our sustainable selects

When we design our collections, the focus is to make beautiful gowns that brides would not only look incredible in, but be comfortable in and coupled with a strong focus on sustainability. We take sustainability into account with every element of the process and it’s something we take incredibly serious, bordering on obsessive, and we are so proud of our eco credentials. That’s why when we team up with another brand it’s important that their ethos sits with ours. With that in mind we have rounded up our top pick of jewellery makers and designers that we love, who not only share our aesthetic but our love for the environment.

Sustainability : The Future of Bridal Fashion

Pure unadulterated luxury and joy. That’s what you are looking for on your wedding day, right? A day which is elevated above the humdrum nine-to-five, where the entire wedding party gets to indulge in feel-good vibes and unfettered fun. After all the saving and planning, it’s a pleasure and a delight for you to spend your hard-earned cash on the elements of your wedding which fill your hearts with happiness.

For the modern, ethically minded bride, of course this means finding a wedding dress which is as gentle to the earth as possible, along with the reassurance that the people making it have been treated and paid fairly. The wish to purchase a luxury gown which is not only at the forefront of bridal fashion but also completely guilt-free is something we’re hearing more and more from Rolling In Roses brides, and it’s such a thrill to be able to deliver this dream. The demand for slow-fashion and sustainable fabrics is growing rapidly as the general public become more fully aware of fashion’s terrible impact upon the environment around the world, and so many RIR brides choose our dresses not only for their style but for their eco credentials too. We have worked incredibly hard over the years to make our brand as low-impact as possible so you can be completely confident in our gowns and enjoy the feel-good factor an ethical purchase brings, It’s at the absolute core of our business and a real passion for me and every member of our little team. Lets take a look at the steps we take to make our collections as kind to the planet as possible…

Real Bride Martha - Adrenaline Midi dress and passion Blouse

A question I get asked by a lot of brides when they visit the boutique is are all brides really indecisive or do some come in and know what they want straight away? Well the answer is there is no set rule, some brides have a clear vision of the look, some are shy and nervous, some have so many ideas it’s hard to pin them down and some, like Martha, have criteria they 100% know they want to stick to. Martha walked in and nearly immediately told me she wanted her dress to be a midi, non negotiable. An hour and a half later and she had settled whole heartedly on the Adrenaline dress in Midi length and the Passion Blouse.

Real Bride Susanne - Rolling In Roses Separates

Susanne. What can I say, Susanne walked into the boutique in early January 2022 looking for an outfit that felt truly hers and (hopefully) we delivered. Susanne opted for a Passion Blouse with custom silk cuffs, an Anise Cami with built up straps and a silk Honey Skirt with her date hand embroidered in the waistband. Susanne’s date was fast creeping around and she was also based in Sweden and getting married in Sweden. BUT it all worked out in the end and I mean just look at the wedding, the setting, the flowers, the cake (Susanne made them all herself!) the headpiece and Pippi their Pug, who had a custom cape that I am still not over…

Rolling In Roses Sample Sale, Everything you need to know.

What is a sample sale? Well this depends on if its a stockist or the label itself who are hosting it. Because its a Rolling In Roses sample sale it’s a selection of dresses that for their own reasons never made it to the final collection. For example we may have made a sample that looked amazing but when we tried to make it for a bride the fabric wasn’t behaving how we wanted it to so we changed the fabric, the other common one is that the fabric suppliers simply discontinue the fabric so we have to discontinue the line. This one makes us really sad but does mean you really are getting a one of a kind piece.

Underwear - A round up of our favourite solutions

I always tell brides not to worry too much about underwear when they are selecting their dress. Not only can we customise every dress to accommodate a bra, but there are some amazing options out there in terms of solutions. I have rounded up our favourites and where we direct the majority of our brides to when they ask for recommendations. They vary in price and it’s entirely a bride’s choice how much spend she wants to commit to underwear but when you are investing so much in a wedding dress it makes sense to have a winning dream team of underwear supporting you through the day too, you want to be able to dance and eat and drink without worrying too much about things being dislodged…. This doesn’t however mean wear the tightest ‘reducing’ underwear you can find, I strongly discourage brides against this, they are uncomfortable, restrictive and honestly; really bad for you. The below round up is intended to support, skim and keep you in place NOT induce pain on your wedding day.
