When we design our collections, the focus is to make beautiful gowns that brides would not only look incredible in, but be comfortable in and coupled with a strong focus on sustainability. We take sustainability into account with every element of the process and it’s something we take incredibly serious, bordering on obsessive, and we are so proud of our eco credentials. That’s why when we team up with another brand it’s important that their ethos sits with ours. With that in mind we have rounded up our top pick of jewellery makers and designers that we love, who not only share our aesthetic but our love for the environment.

We love the simple aesthetic of Blue Meadow, and they team so well with RIR and we stock select pieces of their earrings in the boutique.

Irish based, Sandra set up back in 2015 after graduating from Ulster University, spotting a major gap in the market for modern, well-made bridal headpieces and veils.

With a considered approach to making, the pieces take a lot of time to make. There is a sea of mass produced rubbish out there, and Blue Meadow handcraft their pieces with so much considered detail that they are the perfect heirloom to pass on to future generations, which just brings us so much joy and is what we are all about.

Founder Éva Reményi, is driven by spectacular solutions that go beyond the frames. Jewellry born of inexhaustible passion celebrates a free-spirited, brave Woman who strives for uniqueness and self-expression in her everyday appearance.

The jewellery is made individually and by hand in Eva Remenyi’s workshop in Budapest. Goldsmithing is originally a two-handed profession, with much of the work being done with hand tools. The pieces in Budapest, with ethical pay. Surface treatment and casting are also carried out by local, Budapest and family businesses.

All scrap metal generated is completely recycled. In the case of precious metals, even the metal powder is melted back.  Gold and silver jewelry is made from recycled raw materials from domestic sources, while the raw material for copper jewellery comes from the EU.

The brand’s environmentally friendly, FSC®-certified jewelry boxes and bags are manufactured in Denmark, thus reducing the environmental impact of shipping. The FSC® standard guarantees that the wood comes from a forest where no more trees are cut than the forest can reproduce naturally.

Brought up in Lincolnshire as a coast and country lover and admirer of the natural world, Hannah is a multi-award winning British jewellery designer who sees it as the most beautiful of art forms, incorporating traditional craft techniques with high end design. Her passion for art and creativity is what drives her to be a designer of individual artefacts that create personal experiences, enrich people’s lives and become heirlooms of the future. She appreciates the beauty of nature and wants to exhibit this through her authentic designs which offer a new outlook on the way we connect jewellery within the world and people to nature.

Hannah’s work is lovingly handmade in her Lincolnshire studio, demonstrating quality, craftsmanship, sustainability and creating sensory artefacts to treasure both now and in the future. The brand is proudly British, using recycled materials as an integral part of the business, and sustainability at the core. Especially as her brand is fundamentally inspired by the earth and in particular highlighting the beautiful shapes of nature, Hannah is greatly concerned about the environmental impact her jewellery has on the earth. Her ambition is to preserve and celebrate the beauty of our natural world, whilst also connecting people to it through sculptural jewellery and making them aware of its fragility.

If you don’t already own a Roake hairpin you need one in your life! Pretty, sustainable AND good for your hair.

Based on the Isle of Wight and founded by Rosie, the brand pride themselves on designing considered, small batch pieces that are not only flexible and comfortable, but that work for every change & chapter of your life: designed to be worn and loved, from day through to night. The team at Roake truly believe that fashion is forever, and that the clothes we wear should be designed for versatility, and manufactured ethically and sustainably to support longevity.

From the field to their cutting table and on to production, they make it their business to track the origins of materials, and to deliver a luxury product to love for a long time.

They chose brass as a material for their Jewellery and Hairpins as the recycling process is less energy-intensive in comparison to other metals, and yields a smaller carbon footprint. We love their commitment to sustainability and slow fashion.

Eden b. Studio is a Luxury Bridal Accessories brand, specialising in unique Hairpieces, veils and earrings

The designs are inspired by the beautiful botanicals of the English countryside, with a focus on natural, soft colour palettes and intricate detailing. Each design is handcrafted with love and passion in their small studio based in the heart of Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

British born and based designer and maker Emma is never happier than when she is making, tinkering and creating, using her practical thinking to produce unique and bespoke designs. Growing up in the countryside in South West England, Emma developed a firm attachment to nature. After studying jewellery design at university and spending many years working in the industry in London, Emma decided to turn her passion for design and protecting the natural world into a business. Emma has now returned to her roots, settling in Frome.

Emma Aitchison Jewellery was launched single-handedly without any investment in 2016. Since then, the business has grown organically to be part of a community with one uniting value; that consumerism doesn’t have to cost the earth. Emma Aitchison Jewellery has established itself as an honest jewellery brand by committing to sustainable production methods and ethical practice in the workplace.

Where sustainable methods aren’t currently used, the Emma Aitchison team is trying hard to find alternatives. We make every effort to run a business that has minimal impact on the environment.

BAR represents an ongoing evolution to foster optimistic change in the jewellery
industry, innovating to reduce their environmental impact, as well as harnessing positive social progress – from their studio and supply chain to their wider local communities.

While they focus on improving in various areas of sustainability and ethical practices, their business aims to address the below 3 specific areas of concern :

Responsible Consumption - Designing timeless pieces that are a reaction against fast fashion
Responsible Production - Ensuring the people who produce their products are treated fairly
Respect for the Environment - Responsible sourcing and correct handling and disposal of chemicals
