The Kumihimo Dress. Inspired by the ancient Japanese tradition of tying silk braids around the obi of a kimono, this dress has straps made from exquisite 100% silk Kumihimo cord. Looped around delicate 24k gold vermeil hoops at the shoulder, the criss-cross straps hold the soft cowl neckline in place. Cut on the bias from beautifully soft eco-friendly satin with a subtle sheen, it’s pure comfort and joy to wear. Kumihimo literally means ‘gathered threads’ in Japanese.
