The Juno Dress. The ultimate in sophisticated simplicity. The Juno Dress features a chic high boat neck to the front, and a low plunging open back. This deceptively simple gown features subtle asymmetrical seams, and a dramatic train, which has a hidden wrist loop and ribbon ties to hold or tie the train out of the way for dancing. Striking enough to wear on its own, or perfect to pair with our Portia Blouse or Robe. Available in either matt or satin finish. All Rolling In Roses pieces are available in any size. Named after the spirit goddess Juno who appears in Shakespeare’s eerily magical play The Tempest.
“Honour, riches, marriage-blessing,
Long continuance, and increasing,
Hourly joys be still upon you” – Juno
Fabrics:
Outer: available in either vegan eco-friendly viscose crêpe-backed satin, (which has a global recycling certificate as the fibres are made from the by-products of the cotton industry, which would otherwise end up in landfill), or in 100% organic peace silk. This chemical-free British-produced silk has the lowest possible carbon footprint; even the Mulberry leaves, which are the silkworms’ only food, are grown right here in England. The organic production protects the soil and surrounding eco-system and the Peace Silk certification means the silk worms are unharmed and able to live out their natural life cycle.
Lining: organic bamboo charmeuse organically and ethically produced using a closed-loop system; all solvents and water used are then cleaned and re-used. An Oeko-Tex certified, natural fibre, biodegradable and breathable.
Sewn with super-sustainable OEKO TEX® certified Tencel thread.
