The Daughters Dress. Ethereally soft organic silk chiffon overlaid onto an eco-friendly satin made from rose petal fibre. The organic silk is manufactured right here in England; even the mulberry leaves which are the silkworms’ only food are grown here too, making it a highly sustainable fabric. This is a gown of contradictions, both modest and revealing; the open back is a bold statement which offsets the demure frilled sleeves. The lace trim used to decorate the bodice and cuffs is made the traditional way on century-old Leavers lace machines in Nottingham by a ninth-generation family of lace makers. The flared train has a concealed wrist-loop so it can be easily carried around, and internal ribbon ties to enable it to be tied out of the way for dancing. The lining is made from 100% organic bamboo. to keep you cool and comfortable.
