The Komorebi Dress. βKomorebiβ is an untranslatable Japanese word meaning βthe sunlight that filters through the leaves of the forestβ. Constructed from lightly corded cotton lace, the Komorebi Dress it cut with creatively mirrored panels which reflect the leaf-like design within the lace itself to create a contemporary geometric pattern on the bodice. The sleeves and back bodice panels are left sheer to display the lace against the skin, and the back is fully exposed, providing the perfect counterpoint to the chic high neck and long sleeves. Complete with killer fitted skirt and split to mid-thigh at the centre front, which then flares out gently to create a subtle puddle train. The lace fabric is made the traditional way on century-old Leavers lace machines by a ninth-generation family of lace makers in Nottingham.
